Travel Plan
Day 1: EDINBURGH
Arrival at Edinburgh airport onwards to accommodation.
Day 2: EDINBURGH-STIRLING
Breakfast. Departure for Edinburgh castle the most visited attraction in Scotland before a panoramic visit of Edinburgh and departure for Stirling. Stopping on the way to visit Bannockburn. We will also visit the William Wallace monument and stirling castle. Free time before arriving at our accommodation.
Day 3: STIRLING-INVERNESS
Breakfast. Departure for Glencoe where we make a stop before heading to Fort AUGUSTUS where we have free time until the indicated departure time for Urquhart castle. We have time to have a cruise on the beautiful Loch Ness after which we head onto the city of Inverness and a panoramic tour of the city. Arrival at our hotel and free afternoon.
Day 4: HIGHLANDS-OKNEY-SHETLANDS
Breakfast followed by departure for Dunrobin castle and then onto Thurso where we will enjoy the beautiful scenery before heading to the port and taking the ferry to Orkney where we will take the ferry to Shetlands from Kirkwall port. Overnight on the ferry.
Day 5: SHETLANDS
Breakfast on board the ferry and arrival in the Shetlands. Arrival at the hotel to offload our luggage before immediately heading to The Jarlshof prehistoric norse settlement. An ancient and interesting collection of houses belonging to the Bronze, Iron and Pictish, Viking and Medieval eras. We then head on to Sumburgh Head lighthouse a beautiful natural reserve where we can see different and beautiful fauna of the area including the famous puffins.Free time for lunch before continuing on to St Minians island before returning to Lerwick and our accommodation.
Day 6 SHETLANDS
Breakfast. We head to Scalloway to visit the castle ruins and the interesting museum (optional.We then head to Brae to visit the area and have some free time for lunch before heading back to Lerwick and our accommodation.
Day 7: SHETLANDS-ORKNEY
Breakfast. Departure for the Croft House Museum a beautiful museum by the sea and then head to Clickimin Broch a tower which dates from the iron age and is very well preserved. We then have free time for lunch before heading to the port of Lerwick where we take the ferry that will return us to Orkney. Arrival at Orkney and our accommodation.
Day 8: OKNEY-HIGHLANDS
Breakfast. Visit to the Standing stones of Stenness a construction similar to Stonehenge. We then visit Scapa distillery and a magnificent tour after which we head to Kirkwall where we will have free time before returning to the port at the indicated time to take the ferry back to Kirkwall before taking a second ferry to the Highlands. Arrival at Tain and our accommodation.
Day 9: HIGHLANDS-EDINBURGH
Breakfast. Departure for Culloden where we head to the Highlands folk museum and then continue onto Pitlochry for free time until the indicated time when we continue onto the Hermitage where we will spend some time in a magical and beautiful wood and then continue onto Edinburgh. Arrival at accommodation. End of our services.
Day 10: EDINBURGH
Breakfast. Return to your country.
