In this tour many of the settings for the famous Outlander series are visited, visits can be modified depending on time, weather and other demands however places used in the filming of this series are always visited.

 Travel Plan

Day 1: Spain – Edinburgh

At the indicated time we will be waiting for you at Edinburgh airport and proceed with our transfer to our hotel.

 

Day 2: Edinburgh

Breakfast. Firstly we undertake a panoramic visit to the city of Edinburgh. Once complete. We then continue to Holyroodhouse Palace. The Edinburgh castle and palace are connected by a medieval street the famous Royal Mile with its picturesque and mysterious allies. we head towards Edinburgh Castle which we will visit. There you can find the National Warm Museum. When we finish we will have free time for luch. Free afternoon or We will have the posibility to visit the National Museum of Scotland. Accommodation.

 

Day 3: Edinburgh – Falkland, Newtonmore – Highlands

Breakfast and departure for Falkland where we will visit the main square and some interesting areas in the town. We then head towards Newtonmore where we will visit the Highlands Folk museum which offers a unique vision of how people of the mountains lived. Free time for lunch before meeting at the designated meeting point to continue our journey towards Inverness the capital of the Highlands where the Highland Archive Centre is located. Panoramic visit of Inverness. Free afternoon before return to accommodation.

 

Day 4: Highlands

Breakfast and departure to Clava Cairns. This stone circle could be simply a simple place but is one of the most magic in Scotland. Once the visit is complete we head to the ancestral lands and Culloden where the famous battle of the clans against the Jacobites was fought. Once the visit is complete we head to the romantic cities of Strathpeffer and Beauly where the Mackensie and Fraser families once lived. We have free time in these beautiful landscapes to have lunch and explore the ruins of the old Beauly priory a place of detainment for many of the chiefs of the Fraser clan. At the time indicated we return to Inverness and our accommodation.

 

Day 5: Highlands – Fort William

Breakfast. Departure for Loch Ness where we can enjoy incredible views and explore the magnificent ruins of Urquhart Castle, a perfect place for a picnic in the dramatic scenery of the highlands or you could enjoy a beautiful cruise on the waters of Loch Ness surrounded by beautiful scenery. We then head to Glenfinnan to see its monument which pays hommage to the members of the Jacobite clan who fought with Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1745 and learn more about this fascinating chapter in Scottish history. We then head to Fort William where we have free time for lunch and visiting the city before heading to our accommodation.

 

Day 6: Fort William – Doune – Edinburgh

Breakfast. Departure for the Castle of Doune in one of the most fabulous settings and then once the visit is complete we head to Edinburgh not before visiting the castle of Aberdour. Arrival in Edinburgh. Free time and return to accommodation.

 

Day 7: Edinburgh- Destination Country

Breakfast. Free time until our departure for the airport. End of our services.
